When life gets better

I know its been a really long time since i posted. But thats because its so rare that i get to book out. Over the span of the 6 weeks that passed, i have spent in total less than 90 hours on the mainland Singapore; with the balance being held in the depressing military island. How so often have i glanced over the 2km stretch of seas that separated me from the mainland, with changi airport in the background, and longed to be on the other side where freedom reigns. Meanwhile it has been rather tough training and tight schedule everyday, which i have since gotten used to.

But life is just about to get better. This week marked the last of the high-key events; which included Field camp, grenade, Sit Test, and live firing. The program schedule has accordingly, very noticeably given a little slack too. Of course not all is over, and things like games day and National Education is taking up a huge bulk of the time now, but that far beats chionging around in the mud and jungle, clad in SBO.

Just a few more things to dread: the final IPPT coming really soon (dreadful only cause i have not secured a silver), and the 16km and 24km route marches. Other than that... a little more physical training and misc training here and there should be about it. All eyes now set on the POP, and the christmas season on the way!
