One Six Three

Its time i updated. i would not say i never have the time - i have 2 days every week out of camp and it has been that way without fail ~ no confinements, that is. i could easily spare the time if i wanted to. But the fact that i have not been updating despite having some time just shows that life has been pretty monotonous.

its been 6 weeks into my ADWO course in 163 squadron, estimated graduation in 21st april. this date is already been pushed back from the initial early april, and would push later even more if there continues to be the shortage of instructors and/or equipment - something that has been causing lots of disruptions in my training these few weeks, wasting lots of time, during which i can only sit in the hangar and stare into space. No books allowed. no entertainment. no sleeping either. In these kind of scenarios do i wish the training was more on the ball!

Following the principle of progressive training, physical training has been climbing in intensity each day, and has of now reached 12 sets of 3 chin ups every time before meals + lots of static exercises. our muscles season only to get strained to a higher level. we are plagued by permanent aches. All these physical training, accompanied with a generous/slack medical office leads to a phenomenon of the growing 'status party', which lately has been even bigger than the participating party - i.e. more than half of the course reports sick or is excused from physical activity!

Though the course of the days has been monotonous, the social factors surely isnt. cliques have formed and are hardening up, but interactions still very much occur with fellows outside the comfortable circle. Attitudes also have changed, and some shifting takes place. We continue to learn more about each other every day, and even more about those we interact with often. Unfortunately for me it has not been so good to be well known - for my towel, shirt, and underwear episodes!

Still, no malice i see among this 'family' of 30, unlike how it was in BMT. i know it can never be as bad.
